They say we rise by lifting others. This quote resonates with us- life isn’t about just being happy and successful, but also living for others and serving others.
This year at Martellas we are reaching out and supporting other businesses by making them a free logo flag. Our goal was to find small businesses owned by women and I didn’t have to search very far. There is a local company owned by a fabulous mom and we are very blessed to know her personally. We couldn’t think of a company more well deserving of our free logo sign than Posh Mommy.
Any mom knows how hard it can be to leave your little ones when they head back to work or even just for a bit for a date night, so Posh Mommy had an idea. Posh Mommy is a jewelry company that customizes and personalizes pendants and necklaces so moms can keep their babies close to their hearts whether they are near or far. Some pendants display baby’s initials, baby’s birth dates or birth stones, and now the company offers even more with handwritten messages and special gifts for grads, dads, and brides. Ten years ago, the owner, Ali Krebs, was hand stamping necklaces at her kitchen counter as she held her babies on her hips! As Ali’s kids have grown, so has her company. Her orders were multiplying and in 2009 she sought out a jewelry studio in Chicago to help her create the personalized jewelry while preserving what was important to her- jewelry made with precious metals and stones. These individualized pieces are beautiful and unique and not only will you find local mommas wearing them, but many Hollywood mommas own their own pieces as well. For years, I’d seen friends sport their Posh Mommy pieces and when we had our first daughter I was in awe to see a little Posh Mommy bag on our counter one day. How did Monte know I LOVED this jewelry?! I never ‘drop’ hints about gifts I want so I had no idea how he figured out I’d been dying to get a personalized necklace. I had no idea that Monte knew Ali personally! What a blessing she has been to us. Starting a small business was an idea that was foreign to us and from the beginning we’ve called upon friends and family with business backgrounds. Ali has chatted with us about business ideas, strategies, norms, and tactics. These ideas helped generate ideas for our own product categories including personalized artwork for families - similar to her own. Her success is something we admire and respect, but she has always been so open to helping us and for that we thank her tremendously!
We are so happy to make a free logo sign for Posh Mommy! We hope it can hang in their home office as a big thank you for all they do for their customers and community. We rise by lifting others... but in reality, it’s Ali who helped lift us from the ground as we started our company. Thank you so much Ali- enjoy your sign!!
